Sometimes it feels like we have seen the same ring and jewellery designs over and over again like deja vu. It can be difficult getting inspiration to find or create something really special as, more often than not, high-street jewellers offer the same carbon copies of designs and stones which you could find anywhere. Gemstone Combinations
When we think of personal jewellery and gemstones, we instantly think of diamonds. Next in line would be sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. Of course these are beautiful gems, timeless in appearance and a first choice for many – but who said that has to be the go to?
There are so many unique gemstones out there which can steal the limelight from the usual and complement each other in characteristics. For instance, pairing shades of blue such as turquoise, lapis lazuli and opaque sapphire are a gorgeous choice. Bold and vivid colours.
Another example could be peachy coloured sapphires against a centre stone of sunstone. All colours are coordinated and pointing towards the gorgeous sun spangled effect of sunstone.
Intricate Engravings
Many rings focus on the front of the ring where the stones and designs are set, however this doesn’t always have to be the case. The band often gets overlooked, but it can become a part of the masterpiece.
Anything you desire could be engraved into the metal of your ring of choice, such as your favourite flower or trailing leaves, some inscription that means a lot to you, or an abstract pattern which represents your personality.
You could even get a secret inscription within the inside of your band, which is an intimate and secretive touch, adding even more sentimental value to your design.
Interlocking designs
You could just have one bespoke piece, which is beautiful and personal but doesn’t quite represent exactly what you want.
Multiple rings could work together to reveal something amazing and be unlike any other design out there. These rings could join together to reveal its true design, or each band could hold a special gemstone that represents something special. For instance, each stone on each ring could represent one of your children, or members in your family.
